Nothing against all the rest of the rehabs in the U.S., they are all doing a good job of it. You think you have a tough job, try teaching a bunch of alcoholics and addicts to learn to life without their favorite thing in the whole world. The truth of the matter is the best drug rehabilitation is being done in the state of California. I know because it is my job to know these things. California rehabs seem to understand you have to build sick people up, not tear them down. And motivate them to want to get better. Without that, the chances of overcoming the seemingly impossible obstacle of drug addiction (alcohol is a drug) is next to improbable. Most are in it for the money, that is the truth. I happen to like treatment centers in California because at least they understand alcoholism and drug addiction cannot be treated with a cookie cutter, 12 step approach. No two people are even remotely alike, so how can that assembly line approach make sense? And California drug rehabs seem to get it. They offer a wider range of services and therapies so they can individualize the client’s treatment plan. For my money, I’ll roll the dice with a rehab in California, knowing I’ll be getting more bang for my buck, and a better chance for a successful outcome.
