We all know that alcoholism is a serious disease. What many people do not know is what goes on inside an alcohol treatment center. Oh yes they say, we know they go to groups and get counseling and learn how to stay sober. Well, times have changed baby. Today, the best drug and alcohol treatment centers are doing much more. For starters more and more of them have realized drinking is merely a symptom of a deeper problem. And some people have been using alcohol to self medicate other issue such as depression, anxiety or trauma. More and more treatment programs have reinvented their programs and their approach. Some offer radical new therapies such as EMDR which have shown themselves to be effective tools in altering someone’s perception.
